If you are looking for great horse racing fixtures for your Tuesday flutter, look no further. We have selected two action-packed thoroughbred races that are guaranteed to spice up your afternoon. Bet365 and Betfair, two of our favourite online bookmakers, are offering great odds on both of our selected fixtures this afternoon.
Our selected races for Tuesday 5th October are:

Ladbrokes.com Quorn Handicap – 3.40pm – Leicester Racecourse

This Class 2 event for three-year-old colts and fillies runs over one mile, three furlongs and 183 yards; testing the stamina and determination of the eight young starters.

Gelding Harlestone Times is the race favourite for this excellent fixture. The three-year-old trains with Jim Dunlop and is paired with jockey Ted Durcan for this afternoon’s race. Harlestone Times has six professional starts under his belt, including two victories and one second and third place each. September has been a successful month for Harlestone Times, who collected both of his wins last month.
Harlestone Times is currently priced 7-4 by Bet365 and 15-8 by Betfair.

Sir Mark Prescott-trained Baralaka is another strong contender to consider in the Quorn Handicap. The gelding has won two of his seven career starts, most recently the Summer Series Handicap at Epsom in early September, and is currently in fine form. Baralaka will be ridden by Seb Sanders this afternoon, who has been ridden the gelding in both of his winning races to date.
Baralaka is priced 6-1 by both Bet365 and Betfair.

Dave Morgan Memorial Conditions Stakes – 4.50pm – Southwell Racecourse

Ten runners are ready to give it their all in this five furlong sprint event, currently classified Class 2.

Favourite for the Conditions Stakes is Captain Dunne, a five-year-old gelding with plenty of experience. A veteran of 40 professional races has won five of his starts, as well as scoring seven second and third places each. Captain Dunne is going to run for the first time under jockey Rae Winston and is hoping to improve on the second place he scored in his most recent appearance. Trainer Ted Easterby is confident his charge is going to make a strong impression at Southwell this afternoon.
Captain Dunne is priced 6-4 by Bet365 and 13-8 by Betfair.

Second favourite Masta Plasta is back to form after a disappointing 9th place at Beverley in late August. The seven-year-old gelding, who is training with David Nicholls, will be celebrating his 44th career start this afternoon, chasing the sixth win of his professional racing life. Masta Plasta will be racing under Andrew Nicholls today, who also rode the gelding in his most recent victory, the Simply Cartons Conditions Stakes at Nottingham on August 10th.
Masta Plasta is priced 5-1 by Bet365 and 15-2 by Betfair.

If you would like to back one of the great runners in our selected races this afternoon, October 5th, visit Bet365, Betfair or another of our favourite online bookmakers for excellent odds and 24-7 online betting convenience. Horse Racing UK wishes you a successful day at the track!
